AHAHBC. Fred C. Dake
Fred was born June 1866 in Ogle Co., Illinois to parents Benjamin W. Dake Jr. and Adelaide Herrick Dake. He was married to Kittie B. Miller on March 17, 1888 in Vinton, Benton Co., Iowa. In 1895 he was listed as farming with his brother Eugene in Canton Township, Benton Co., Ia. In the 1900 census he was listed as living in Fremont Township, Benton Co., Iowa. He later remarried on 7 Sept. 1901 to Anna Hanover and had a stepson named Wilmer Hanover who appears to have been later adopted. He ran a mercantile store in Mt. Auburn, Ia. He and his wife were Methodist church members. He died of a heart attack while still living in Mt. Auburn. The date of his death is unknown.

Wilmer was the adopted son of Fred C. Dake and Anna Hanover. He married Madeline Cilvick.

Darrell Dake was born to parents Wilmer Dake and Madeline Cilvick Dake on Aug. 11, 1927 in Palo, IA. He was married at least twice, the first marriage to Dorothy Voracek (she later remarried a Mr. Rozinek of Cedar Rapids, IA) and the second marriage to LaVerle (last name unknown) on Oct. 27, 1961 in Shreveport, LA. He was a race car driver, well known in the Cedar Rapids, IA area and though out the midwest. He raced in 1960 and 1961 at the Daytona 500. He died of cancer on Monday, August 6, 2007 in Cedar Rapids, IA and was buried at the Campbell Cemetery.

Ronald (Ronnie) was born April 14, 1948, in Cedar Rapids to Darrell and Dorothy Voracek Dake. He worked as a contractor for D & N Fence Co. Ron enjoyed his Porsche, boating, jetskiing, playing and watching sports, and spending time with his family and friends. He died on June 1, 2008 at St. Luke';s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, IA following a long illiness.
