Updated web site with the latest information from
Minehead visit. Visited our ancestrial home of Minehead, Somerset,
England in July 2018, with my son and grandson. Have
added many new and verified Deake surname records from St. Michaels Parish
in Minehead, England going back to the burial of Christian Deake in Jan. 20,
1549/50, in the Deake family chronology. Records were not kept at St.
Michaels Parish until 1534, so I do not know if they were members prior to
this burial. Information about St. Michaels Parish church,
built in 1430, including pictures of the church and graveyard was
